The positions are all within the Rehabilitation Services Section. This section is responsible for the delivery of Rehabilitation Services, the Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation Scheme, the Support for Employment Program, Household Services, Attendant Care Services and Child Care allowances under the Family Support Package.

Quality Assurance Officers are responsible for the delivery of the national Quality Assurance (QA) program in the Rehabilitation Services section. Primary duties include:
  • Undertaking QA checks on the work undertaken by the operations team.
  • Reporting on QA results and identifying and acting on areas for improvement to the QA processes.
  • Conducting national training with rehabilitation delegates.
  • Supporting the functions of the Rehabilitation Services support team as required.
Duties include:
1. Administer the Quality Assurance (QA) program for rehabilitation services, including liaising with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the effective operation of the QA program and timely reporting of QA results;
2. Complete Quality Assurance (QA) checks on the work undertaken by the operations team;
3. Act as subject matter expert for the integration of Quality Control (QC) and QA facilities into IT systems;
4. Identify and act on opportunities for improvement to the QA processes, and highlight and act on opportunities for change/business improvement identified as a result of QA processes;
5. Support continuous improvement efforts in the section including with IT development and testing activities;
6. Report to, and discuss with, manager, difficulties, trends, and improvements identified through QA assessments and recommend changes/enhancements;
7. Provide support to the team through mentoring and coaching staff;
8. Undertake ad hoc tasks within your area of expertise as required;
9. Proactively identify and act on development opportunities for yourself and the team.
