Your new company
Is a high profile and widely respected Queensland Government Owned Corporation responsible for the development and management of several Ports and landholdings in the North QLD area. They currently require a Senior Technical Officer (Facilities & Maintenance) to ensure their asset portfolio is maintained to regulatory standard.

Your new role
Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for their non-critical asset portfolio. Ensuring the mechanical plant, building services, HVAC and open space asset life cycle is maximised through effective short term preventative maintenance planning. Whilst ensuring reactive maintenance is efficiently managed. On a day to day bases you will be responsible for:

  • The planning, development & contractor management of reactive maintenance projects
  • Development and review of new and existing maintenance contracts
  • Ensure that the asset register is maintained
  • Review current maintenance strategies and identify improvements for built, civil and port infrastructure assets
  • Management of contractors and internal stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful it is essential that you are tertiary or trade qualified with significant demonstrated experience in:

  • Project Scoping, Tender Writing & Contractor Management
  • Fixed Plant, Electrical, HVAC asset management & building maintenance projects
  • Building and infrastructure asset management planning and delivery
  • Inspection and investigation of assets

What you'll get in return
This permanent opportunity will see you working on a truly diverse asset portfolio whilst offering a generous remuneration package between $95,000-$105,000 + Superannuation combined with excellent work life balance.
