The role of Senior Systems Engineer will have you providing operational support of Customer Systems and Network Infrastructure that meets agreed service levels of all customers, contribute to operational effectiveness and best practice, and will meet or exceed all business and customer expectations.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Level 3 customer support, you will be the last technical escalation point for the majority of customer
  • Technical team support, you will work to ensure that other team members are supported in providing services to customers
  • Sales Team Support, as required you will work with the sales team as a Presales Consultant
  • Technical knowledge and training, you will be expected to maintain working knowledge on relevant technologies
  • Projects, undertake both internal and external project work as direct by your manager

To be considered for this position you will have the following:

  • Over 5 years in a System Engineer or equivalent technical role
  • Advanced and effective problem solving skills.
  • Experience in internal and external client service delivery.
  • Proven experience with pervious and current Windows Server, Active Directory versions.
  • Proven experience with server virtualisation and VMware solutions.
  • Proven experienced with Microsoft Terminal Server and thin client implementations.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Exchange, Windows SBS, and Microsoft SQL Servers
  • Proven experience with TCP/IP network and routing skills.
  • Proven experience in cloud based/multi-tenant solution deployments, 365/Azure/AWS.
  • Experience with server virtualisation and VMware solutions
  • Highly experienced problem solver.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective time management and priority setting skills.
  • Experienced with Security principles, firewalls and security management.
  • Experienced with Server hardware, Storage (SAN and NAS), and desktop hardware.
  • Experience with SharePoint infrastructure deployments/maintenance – desirable
  • Relevant Industry qualifications - desirable
  • Experience with Data Centre solutions - desirable
