    About the Role…

    Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager the main responsibilities of the role include:

    • Responsible for the day to day of Inbound operations of the DC including all people aspects
    • Providing a ‘hands on’ approach to ensure the operation achieves its goals while successfully ensuring a high level of effective departmental planning and people management
    • Achieving maximum cost effective productivity through effective planning and deployment of resources (staff & equipment) within the area of responsibility
    • Implementing, managing and maintaining all set KPIs including managing underperforming members of the team
    • Liaising with other departments to ensure the effective operation of the DC
    • Monitoring staff handling of all company products and take corrective action to prevent loss or damage
    • Understand the requirement for safe operation and ensure safe methods of work are employed.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to understand and analyze data.
    • Experience of working in a fast pace DC environment
    • Understanding of Health and Safety practices within the DC
    • 3 years team leading experience
    • Counter Balance and Reach Hoist Licence would be advantageous
    • Valid MPI accreditation
