The role of the Fleet Engineering change management team is to manage the ongoing change management for the QNGR fleet. They are to coordinate the flow of work with change management including the liaison with suppliers, other functions and the customer to ensure that the fleet is safe and reliable and not affect QNGR fleet operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with Maintenance Planning and Supply Teams to ensure an optimum and harmonised change management process.
  • Work closely with the Supply Team to ensure common approach to supplier management and communication.
  • Ensure that suppliers conform to the terms and conditions.
  • Work closely with Maintenance project staff to ensure work is carried out in accordance with agreed scope and within budgets.
  • Provide forecasts as required for labour and material spend.
  • Ensure supplier engagement and alignment to the plan at all times.
  • Work closely with all project staff to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and implement a set of KPI’s that can be used to monitor progress and productivity.
  • Ensure all required testing (including dynamic) is carried out on completion of trials.
  • Perform quality checks on inwards goods from sub-suppliers.
  • Raising Non-Conformances on substandard equipment from sub-suppliers.
  • Actioning open non-conformances related to the position to ensure timely and appropriate closure.
  • Work with sub-suppliers and other Bombardier departments to rectify any quality problems arising from change management.
  • Ensure all paperwork in relation to change management is updated and that Maximo is updated with overhaul and serial number changes.

Key Requirements:

  • University qualified Mechanical engineer or qualified tradesman with rail vehicle maintenance experience
  • Computer Literate in MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Access)
  • Relevant experience in Change Management
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management.
