About the role:

  • Lead the successful delivery of network capacity, access and path planning processes by providing effective planning services to teams, managers, customers and other parts of the company and stakeholders
  • Define, develop, and implement an access & asset management strategy within the Network business
  • Transform the way network access planning is performed to optimise the presentation of rail system availability
  • Establish performance reporting to measure effectiveness of team deliverables, processes and systems. Regularly communicate results with senior management and with internal and external stakeholders
  • Influence and lead the continuous improvement of the team's people, systems and processes aligned with business strategy
  • Create a high-performance culture within the team that reflects a high level of teamwork, collaboration and value
  • Partner with business leaders, internal and external stakeholders to improve the performance of the CQCN supply chain planning and scheduling processes and systems

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Logistics, Economics or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ proven experience in a similar leadership or management role
  • Proven experience in Rail System, Heavy Haul, Supply Chain or Infrastructure industry
  • Understanding of Network operations and knowledge of rail system
  • Keen and capable negotiator with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • High level of change management skills, relating to continuous improvement
  • Extensive experience in and knowledge of coal supply chains, rail traffic operations, and access undertaking obligations
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
