The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical, you will be required to effectively co-ordinate and supervise a team of electrical personnel carrying out maintenance and installation work within the Copper Concentrator. This is a residential position in Mount Isa, working Monday to Friday roster.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
  • Control electrical works within a team environment
  • Provide mentoring to and effectively communicate with your team
  • Be task focused and prepared to work with others to achieve daily targets and outcomes
  • Ensure that electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe and timely manner
  • Respond to plant breakdowns with the ability to prioritise to effectively manage downtime to a minimum
  • Conduct effective fault finding and problem solving on all electrical and instrumentation equipment

You Will Have The Following Skillset And Attributes
  • A current Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence
  • Previous experience with supervising and leading teams
  • Experience with heavy industry maintenance including High Voltage Motors
  • The ability to maintain and repair industrial instrumentation and complex automatic plant
  • Experience with PLCs and DCS is well regarded
  • Respect for safety and a regimented mind-set that will place a high priority on statutory testing, guaranteeing all tests are performed at the required scheduled dates and records are maintained to the highest standard
  • Technical knowledge and organisational skills will ensure you thrive in this fantastic opportunity for career progression
