About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join the KYC Refresh Team and assist with the uplift of the Banks On-going Customer Due Diligence (OCDD) regulatory requirements in Australia and New Zealand. The KYC Refresh Team Leader will be accountable for leading, inspiring, developing and maintaining a high performance team within a dynamic and fast paced customer focused environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a team of up to 12 KYC Refresh Analysts to perform KYC due-diligence for low and medium risk customers that vary in risk and complexity.
  • Serve as the escalation point for issues regarding more complex client profiles, keeping leadership apprised of potential areas of concern.
  • Responsible for ongoing performance management, identify continuous improvement opportunities and contribute to ad-hoc project implementations.
  • Support and motivate the team in meeting individual and team targets
  • Conduct call quality control checks to ensure procedures are adequately followed and provide feedback to Analysts as required
  • Assist the KYC Refresh Manager with ongoing maintenance of relevant policies, procedures, guidance and checklists


About you:


To be considered for the role, you will possess strong knowledge in working across core banking systems (e.g. MyClient, Finesse, T24 and Infolease) as well as experience in both individual and non-individual customer types.

In addition to this you will display the ability to:

  • Act as a subject matter expert across various customer and entity types
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the team through quality control and assurance.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customer escalations and complaints
  • Coach, mentor and provide guidance to direct reports
  • Highly adaptable with a willingness to respond to the changing needs of the business, its customers and its people
