Hays Townsville are currently recruiting for multiple positions in support of an upcoming festival.

Roles are available from late June through to early August across a 7 day roster.

Roles Available

Front of House Staff
As a Front of House/Usher you will work to deliver exceptional customer service to our community, whilst always driving to find ways to work faster better and smarter. Your duties will be, however not limited to:

  • Demonstrate customer service skills, the ability to speak confidently and deal with difficult customers with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and be able to provide venue information and general details in order to satisfy a patron's enquiry
  • Show patrons to their seats and uphold the Theatre's policies

Venue Supervisor
As a Venue Supervisor, you will be ensuring the venue rehearsal schedules, bump in's and out's run smoothly and the venue is kept in a clean and orderly state. Your duties will be, however not limited to:
  • Follow reasonable directions to maintain critical business activities in the event of an unplanned disruption, including but not limited to a disaster or event.
  • Provide a pre-show briefing to the rostered ushers to provide important information related to each show.
  • Make decisions affecting the efficient running of front-of-house activities prior to, during and after a show.

Site Supervisor
As a Site Supervisor you will provide support to the festival coordinator in the coordination and running of the event site during bump in, operational days and bump out. Your duties will be, however not limited to:
  • Have a Cert IV or Diploma level qualification in Events Management and / or administration, and / or equivalent relevant experience in the events industry.
  • Coordinate, develop and initiate Festival events within the approved council event program and adhering to timelines and budge
  • Contribute to our constructive workplace culture by working cooperatively with other team members, helping each other and learning from each other.

These positions are being managed by Hays Recruitment in Townsville. You will receive a competitive hourly rate and be rostered to work across a 7 day period. You will also receive weekly pay and utilise online time sheets. Depending on performance, you may be offered further work through Hays Recruitment Townsville.
