Temporary Business Support Officer job in Ipswich, 3-6 month contract, Government organisation.

Your new company

Government organisation seeking two temporary Business Support officers for a 3-6 month initial contract. You’ll be part of a government promisingly located in the growth corridor of the South East Queensland region. You’ll be working within the Infrastructure and Environment department within the assets and portfolio branch, reporting to the Business Support Manager. Theses roles have been created to support the team with multiple projects.

Your new role

You will be assisting the Business Support Manager in business improvement initiatives and services. You will provide a high level of support, advice and recommendations to Branch and Section Managers in relation to internal systems, business support functions and identifying required changes to procedures and documentation. You will be researching, assisting with training and continuous improvement initiatives, updating and maintaining data, assisting with the management of reviewing, refining and improving processes, procedures and systems and liaising with staff, internal and external stakeholders across all levels regarding a range of matters.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a tertiary qualification in a related discipline or the experience necessary to succeed in the role. You will have experience with account reconciliation, account requisitions, receipting and purchasing. You will be able to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with both clients and internal staff. You will have sound knowledge of ICT systems allowing seamless delivery of projects, an ability to research effectively, demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, high level of professionalism and an understanding of corporate expectations.

You’ll receive a generous hourly rate, be supported by a team of talented individuals that will allow you to succeed. You will be working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the potential of a contract extension.
