Job Description

Marburg State School is comprised of a new and experienced teaching team committed to building on the strong foundations of such a proud school. Marburg State School have an exciting opportunity to offer an experienced senior teacher or aspiring leader to join their teaching team on a temporary full time basis commencing Semester 2. If you have the experience to recognise various student learning needs in lesson delivery and assessment tools, understand how to use various lesson plans and teaching activities/an extensive repertoire of pedagogical practice with a strong focus on building productive learning relationships with children this position is for you.

Marburg State School is a heritage-listed state school at Louisa Street, Marburg, City of Ipswich and built in 1922. It is also known as Marburg Rural School.

Marburg State School has a strong and ongoing association with the Marburg community. We are a small band 5 school with approximately 60 students from Prep to Year 6 in composite classes.

Applicants for these positions must possess:

  • A relevant teaching qualification.
  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.
  • In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.
  • Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
