About the Position

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for the successful food coordination and service of 2 x cafes, 5 x kiosks and 2 x meetings and function venues within Major Sporting Venues across the City of Gold Coast. Major Sporting Venues cater for community bookings right through to international sporting events within six venues on the Gold Coast. Your role is to be a hands-on leader, delivering on-trend, costed menus, staff training and development and food safety practices across all sites. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Supervisor, this exciting role is tasked with creating a new Meetings and Functions product and implementing strategic direction while ensuring day-to-day operations flow smoothly. The position is based out of the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in Carrara but will be required to work across all venues around the City.

Key Deliverables of the position:
Deliver on the job training and structured feedback to staff with varying skills to ensure consistency in food production.
Design, cost and implement menus across various meetings and functions, cafes and kiosk outlets.
Assume ownership of our product list, recipe cards and menus and ensure all are up to date and shared with the team.
Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness within all outlets.
Work with F&B Officer on acceptable stock levels to maintain adequate stock and reduce wastage.
Perform monthly stocktakes and report on variances.
Ensure that workers are adequately aware of and fully comply with relevant WHS instructions, policies and procedures.

About You

You will have a passion for food and the customer experience. You will have experience in meetings, functions and conferences and designing and costing menus to suit different spaces and facilities. You will have demonstratable experience and a passion for coaching, mentoring and leading large teams to deliver consistent and quality products. You will have a good business acumen with an understanding of COGS and labour costing and how to utilise this knowledge to ensure the financial success of your area. Experience in managing multiple outlets and conflicting priorities is essential, along with skills across the Microsoft Office Suite. This role is ideal for an experienced chef with innovation and skills to create their path and make a lasting difference in a growing business.
