An exciting opportunity exists at Wavell State High School for a temporary full-time teacher of dance to join our performing arts faculty for term 3. This teaching role is classroom dance for year levels 7 - 12. Wavell State High School runs an excellence program for dance and attracts students with talent. Students in 2021 are working towards performance in a school musical and several eisteddfods.

Wavell State High School, which opened in 1959, is a large and highly regarded State Secondary school in the Inner Northern suburbs of Brisbane. Approximately one quarter of our students are drawn from a defined, local catchment while the majority of students gain enrolment through selective entry requirements. Your Role

The role requires the successful applicant to work within a high performing and collaborative team of teachers many of whom are engaged in key roles with the QCAA working on quality assurance processes for the QCE for Year 12 while contributing to school cultural events and activities.

Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
