An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a dedicated, energetic and passionate individual to join the team at Kenmore State High School as Head of School. Locally known as Associate Principal, this position commences from Semester 2, 2021 for a period of 18 months, unless otherwise determined. Within this role, you will play a vital role in delivering the vision of the school and the department. The leadership role of Head of School is critical to improving the educational outcomes of students in their schools. This position has a major influence on developing the quality of teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

About the role
As Head of School at Kenmore State High School you will be a member of the Senior Administration Team, which will consist of an Executive Principal, one Head of School, five Deputy Principals and Business Manager.

Some of the key tasks undertaken by head of School in collaboration with the Executive Principal are:

Enact the school's vision and values to ensure the further evolution of a high-quality professional learning community developing students as futures-focused, global citizens.
Implement and monitor school review and accreditation processes.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Strategic Planning including the Annual Implementation Plan, Explicit Improvement Agenda and School Budget, utilising whole school data to develop strategic responses and inform school decision making.
Lead the delivery of high-quality learning programs to maximise continued public confidence in our students' academic and social opportunities and outcomes.
Line manage classified officers, including Deputy Principals and Heads of Department, and lead recruitment and selection panels to appoint classified officers within the school.
Manage the school's Annual Performance Development Plan process for all staff members.
Coordinate strategies to promote staff and student capability development.
Lead the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships and strengthen community networks beneficial to our students.
