Full Job Description
In this role, you will be developing and maintaining relationships with new staff, students, families and the wider community to improve the educational, social and emotional outcomes of students at the New Primary School North Maclean (Greenbank). You will have a strong sense of understanding the importance of ensuring equitable outcomes for all students. Your focus will be primarily in Years 3-6, with a focus on curriculum, pedagogy and Positive Behaviour for Learning. Age Appropriate Pedagogies and Leading Learning Collaborative (Sharratt) will contribute to the pedagogical and curriculum frameworks.

About the New Primary School at North Maclean (Greenbank)

New Primary School at North Maclean (Greenbank) is located in North Maclean and is the newest in South East Region set to open in 2022. The new school will continue our work of every child and student succeeding through education.

The Queensland Government is determined that all Queensland children and young people will benefit from the opportunities of a quality education.

With growing population growth throughout the Logan corridor North Maclean Primary School will open with approximately 200 students and a teaching staff of over 25, plus support staff. The school site will accommodate Prep to year 6 and commence with all year levels.

Your Role

As the Deputy Principal you will have responsibility for the following:

Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Deputise for the Principal when required.
Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
Be futures oriented and strategic.
Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
Manage resources to achieve goals.

A mandatory requirement of this role is:
Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. For more information please CLICK HERE.
