Due to increased business size and industry specific compliance requirements, Continuity Care is looking for a General Accountant. Ideal candidate is expected to have the following skills.

  • Responsible for maintaining accuracy and completeness of books of accounts.
  • Handling payroll, super payments, and bank reconciliation.
  • Regular review of aged receivables and payables and reporting to the management.
  • Responsible for monthly and final payroll tax returns, handling Portable Long Service Leave on quarterly basis and liaise with Government Departments as required.
  • Liaise with tax agent and consultant for preparation and lodgement of BAS.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, recording fixed assets, depreciation, assets write off etc. and liaise with tax agent and consultant in preparation and lodgement of company tax returns.
  • Ensure adequacy of cashflow and liaise with banks as required.
  • Preparing revenue and expenditure budget for each Supported Independent Leaving (SIL) houses and the company.
  • Periodic financial performance analysis comparing budget for SIL house and company and report to the management.
  • Regular review of accounting policies and procedures, financial administration policies for SIL house etc. and report to the management with recommendations.
  • Assisting clients with their NDIS fund budgeting, planning, and reporting as a “Plan Manager” for NDIS participants and handling NDIS plan of plan management clients.
  • Responsible for liaising with NDIS for client’s finance related issues and reporting to NDIS as required.
  • Preparing client wise accounts for Aged Care clients, assist with auditing Aged Care financials as required.
  • Liaise with the Aged Care Commission and report to them as per the regulatory requirement.
  • In depth understanding of NDIS plans, NDIS plan management, My Aged Care, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and fulfill industry standard duties as an Accountant.
Qualification Required
  • At least Master’s Degree in Accounting or CPA/CA qualification
  • Additional qualification in business administration will add a value.

  • More than 6 years’ experience as a General Accountant is essential with at least 1 years’ experience with NDIS and Aged Care industry.
  • Proficient with Accounting System XERO/MYOB
  • Proficient with Careview Advantage
  • Good Knowledge of PRODA/My aged care portal
  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Products.
