The company:
As a leading player in the residential and commercial construction industry this national business has over 500 staff however, still feels like a small family run operation. With culture second to none, they have a strong client list of return customers and over 30 years, have established themselves as one of the most reputable contractors in the market.

Your Role:
You will enjoy a varied role providing HR and Payroll support to the Manager team.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Support resource management including recruitment and retention of staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advising on HR/ER/IR policy, best practice and legislation
  • Experience in providing generalist HR support within a building or manufacturing environment or similar industries
  • Supporting the Payroll Officer for the weekly payroll processing
  • Collating & compiling data for regular reports
  • Drafting position descriptions and company policies and procedures
  • Liaising with providers and customers for National Training programs
Required Skills & Experience:
  • HR Experience including the ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation
  • Ability to build and foster strong internal relationships
  • Be someone who likes to be involved and not just sit behind a desk writing policy
  • Hands on with their approach to HR
  • Data entry
  • Assisting Payroll Manager in processing weekly payroll and other payroll functions including superannuation
  • Employee contact for payroll queries
  • Exposure to supporting a HR or Recruitment team preferred
  • Strong MS office skills including Excel
  • Desire to learn; initiative; sense of humour; and good organisation and communication skills
  • Own transport
