Fleetwood Building Solutions is on a very exciting journey and we are now seeking an experienced State Sales Manager to help drive our Queensland based business to new heights.


We are seeking a Sales superstar! Someone who can develop, drive and manage the strategic sales plan. Someone who can lead by example whilst mentoring the broader sales team and holds proven high level results across the construction and or Modular industry. 


The Role:

Reporting to the State Operations Manager you will be part of the QLD Senior Leadership team and accountable for delivering on the annual revenue and profit targets with the goal of increasing and diversifying overall market share across a range of sectors within the construction industry. 


State Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team
  • Strategically foster customer engagement
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key target markets
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and sales targets
  • Develop, manage and maintain sales team KPIs 
  • Develop sales strategies to acquire new client stream
  • Provide expertise when setting and adjusting pricing schedules
  • Provide advanced negotiation expertise
  • Project and forecast revenue targets for assigned sales regions, reporting as required
  • Responsible for sales team expenditure
  • Lead, manage, develop, coach and motivate the sales team, developing their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is maintained 
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management and performance review
  • Provide on-the-ground support for the sales department 
  • Demonstrate ability to influence beyond your portfolio 
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop lead generation plans 
  • Oversee the development and submission of quality tenders/bids
  • Manage sales data, reporting results as necessary

About you:


We are seeking a highly driven Sales Manager with a minimum 5 years’ experience in a management or leadership role working across the construction industry.

The successful applicant will be driven, dynamic, with a passion to meet and exceed targets. We are looking for someone with the ability to think outside of the square, helping to diversify our revenue streams across a range different sectors and projects. 

Further to this you will also possess the following:

  • Demonstrated sales and marketing experience (minimum 5 years) in modular and / or insitu construction industry with potential pipeline 
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop an effective sales & marketing strategy
  • Sound statistical, analytical and process driven administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high degree of proactivity, creativity and latitude
  • Excellent understanding of sales planning and analysis of the competitive market
  • Strong communication 
  • Strong contract negotiation experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to travel as required
