About Department
The Speech Pathology Department is committed to providing high quality Speech Pathology services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders at St. Vincent's. The Speech Pathology team provides services across the continuum of care, over multiple campuses and coordinates the Deaf and Hard of Hearing service. The department is located across the three main campuses: St Vincent's Hospital in Fitzroy, St George's Health Service in Kew and St Vincent's on the Park in East Melbourne.

About the Role
The grade 3 speech pathologist provides clinical expertise and leadership in the speech pathology management of patients with communication and swallowing disorders, as well as building and contributing to professional knowledge in their area of expertise. This position involves leadership in a specialised area of practice, service development, teaching and training, and leading and participating in quality and research projects. A key part of this role will be the provision of clinical education to students from the University of Melbourne Master of Speech Pathology program.

Classifications for this position will range from Speech Pathologist (Grade 3) VW6 - VW9 ($96,205 - $109,917 per annum).


  • Managing a clinical caseload and acting as a consultant/resource in the relevant area of expertise
