About the role

National Plant & Equipment Pty Ltd are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitting Leading Hand / Supervisors to join our professional team at Goonyella Mine Site. Playing a pivotal part in the maintenance department, you will supervise and coordinate service activities relating to plant and mobile maintenance across a large fleet of mobile mining equipment. This includes repairs on machinery, spare parts, system auditing, fault finding and multiple varied tasks and responsibilities.

As supervisor, it will be expected that you will share your time between office based duties and being on the workshop floor.

Successful candidates will possess:
Minimum 5 years' maintenance experience in heavy earthmoving plant and equipment including CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu mining equipment.
Current G1, G8 & G9 (S1, 2, 3) supervisors tickets.
AMT experience or similar.
Developed leadership skills with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with fitters and management.
Ability to promote safe work practices is paramount including identifying and reporting any hazardous risks.
Current drivers' licence.
Highly developed planning and organisational skills.
The ability and willingness to work to the lifestyle roster (possible roster change to 7/7 in the near future)
