About Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC)

Consolidated Pastoral Company Pty Ltd (CPC) is one of Australia's largest beef cattle producers with a diverse asset backing of property and cattle valued at more than $740 million.

CPC owns and operates a portfolio of nine cattle stations with approximately 300,000 head of cattle across 3.6 million hectares of land in Australia.

CPC also holds a 90 per cent interest in a Joint Venture partnership in Indonesia that owns and operates two feedlots.

About the role

You will embrace the chance to grow with CPC in this role and be responsible for:

  • providing analytics,
  • strategic insight and modelling assistance for the Group, including mergers and acquisition activities,
  • research projects,
  • business case preparation,
  • driving process and operational improvements,
  • monitoring market and economic trends, and
  • undertaking other reporting and analysis (as required).

You will have the opportunity to provide insight and evaluate key strategic initiatives including:

  • Cattle Operations: Driving significant improvement in underlying core business performance.
  • Cropping Operations & Water Security: Securing large-scale water access and developing a large-scale cropping program.
  • Green Energy: Capturing value through solar, wind and hydrogen opportunities and partnerships.
  • Carbon Sequestration & Emissions Avoidance: Building on previous successes in the carbon space through formal and informal markets.

About you

Education, Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in either Business, Commerce, Economics or Finance
  • 2+ years' experience in an analyst role
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint and report writing skills
  • An enquiring mind and a desire to continually improve the way things are done
  • Collaborative team player willing to work with team members achieve their goals
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to conduct research and resolve complex problems


  • Experience in a Corporate Finance / Advisory environment
  • Analytical experience gained directly in an agribusiness environment or indirectly for agricultural clients
  • Experience in business case preparation, modelling and financial due diligence, assessing acquisitions
