The Opportunity

Instead of telling you what a Legal Property Officer does all day, we'll tell you why you should come and be one with us.

You will be part of the broader property team, who are responsible for delivery of a range of property functions on behalf of Council, which includes being responsible for managing the sale and acquisition of land on behalf of Council and the oversight of our leasing portfolio. The team has a defined purpose of facilitating the property requirements of Council to make Logan a better place, through partnering with other branches of Council and our community.

Our new Legal Property Officer will join at a great time -a mixture of both strategic and transactional work, you'll negotiate the best outcomes for Council, apply your expert legal knowledge to a broad range of transactions and be part of a team that is focused on continuous improvement.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and engaging officer, with excellent knowledge of Queensland property law (both freehold and leasehold) and transactional experience. Knowledge of the requirements of the Local Government Act and tertiary qualifications in law would also be well regarded.

However, more important than experience, we're looking for someone with the following characteristics:

  • You have exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • You regularly see opportunity for improvement and you have the enthusiasm to drive change. You are committed to leaving things better than you found them
