Exciting opportunity for a Field Surveyor to join the Field Services Team.

An end-to-end supplier of engineering, surveying, and geotechnical services to the building and land development industries. Founded in Victoria in 2003, our client has grown rapidly into a large-sized engineering consultancy employing over 300 people across Australia and China.

Head Office is located in Melbourne CBD with further offices located throughout Australia and China, all serving a growing client list of leading residential builders, industrial and commercial development companies, government and urban land authorities, developers, and architects.

We are seeking a Field Surveyor to join the Field Services team on a full-time basis in the Brisbane office.

If you have 1-3 years’ experience in the industry and are keen to broaden your knowledge in this field, we would encourage for you to apply.

You will be provided with additional training as needed to be successful in your role.

As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Undertake field geotechnical assessment of sites as required
  • Undertake logging on site under supervision initially
  • Undertake dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) testing
  • Undertake tube sampling of soils for laboratory testing
  • Undertake field survey work as required for completion of site class detail surveys under supervision initially
  • Liaise with the drafting team to ensure the effective support for site class drafting work
  • Liaise with clients as required
  • Service and maintain geotechnical & survey equipment, including completing routine maintenance checks as per policy
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following:
  • Experience working with machines (desired)
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • An ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Open/valid manual driving license
