Are you a qualified Librarian with a passion for delivering welcoming, client-centred, responsive frontline library and information enquiry services? In this role, you will connect Queenslanders with State Library collections and resources and support their research in a timely and efficient manner via the Ask Us service. The role requires availability and flexibility in an environment which operates seven days per week, with the possibility of day, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts being allocated at short notice.

As a casual Librarian you will

support the delivery of a high quality onsite and statewide professional library service for a diverse collection to a broad client base across Queensland.
participate in a high performing team providing guidance and information to clients regarding State Library's collections and online information resources including responding to enquiries from clients onsite and online.
contribute to the development and delivery of client and staff training as well as creating information guides and resources to support client use of State Library services and collections.

Availability at short notice for rostered shifts is a must, as is availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Mandatory qualifications - Possession of a relevant/related degree and eligibility for professional membership (ALIA).
