Full Job Description
We are seeking a competent and experienced individual who could work efficiently within our friendly, professional team providing administrative support to the Division of Anatomical Pathology and Cytopathology at the Central Laboratory, Pathology Queensland. A diverse role which will see the successful applicant deliver medical typing and transcribe electronic and handwritten medical reports to produce medical transcript, so an understanding of medical terminology and excellent attention to detail would be advantageous.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

Current knowledge of medical terminology and well-developed keyboard and data entry skills.
Ability to determine priorities, coordinate and finalise work within required time frames.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to enable communication with internal and external clients.
Ability to coordinate slides and blocks for collation and dispatch.

Qualifications, registrations and other requirements

While not mandatory, completion of a medical typing or medical terminology course or previous experience in anatomical pathology medical typing would be well regarded.
