About the role

This key role is part of the Leadership Team and is focused on providing the expertise to ensure rigorous governance and compliance in the following areas: Finance, Quality, Risk and Environmental. The Business Performance and Compliance Lead will manage progress against performance in a timely way so that areas of improvement can be realised and implemented, and innovation can be supported.

Collectively, this role is responsible for enhancing performance and overall innovation whilst ensuring accuracy in reporting. The role holder will be required to assess existing systems and processes and find improvements across the above-mentioned functions.

  • Foster an organisational culture based on customer centricity, innovation, learning, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Ensure line of sight to the strategic direction is understood and ensure work performance is aligned.
  • Reflect the continuous improvement philosophy by meeting the requirements of agreed quality and compliance systems.
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying effective business opportunities to improve longer-term financial performance.
  • Drive innovation from concept to implementation, including measuring success of improvements.
  • Support people to operate at peak performance, to grow and to have a line of sight from their role to the strategic direction.
  • Support a strong health and safety culture and ensure that staff and suppliers are aware of and meet their H&S obligations.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in business, project or commercial management
  • 5+ years' experience in delivery of business and commercial excellence at a senior level
  • Demonstrable experience in presenting and facilitating discussions at a senior level.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a collective and collaborative leadership environment.
  • Customer service focused.
