About the Role:

An enthusiastic and proactive civil engineering professional is required to join a fantastic team working on specialist civil works across the drainage, water and sewermain disciplines. This role will initially be responsible for delivering a large Watermain project, before transitioning on to future projects. The role will require the successful applicant to autonomously manage the project on site, so will require a background in delivering similar relevant projects to a high standard. Completing projects start to finish is a real strength of this company, and they now require a civil engineer to offer technical advice and provide direction in a high-achieving team.

Duties:

  • Programme and plan work
  • Client liaison
  • Interact with key stakeholders.
  • Implement stringent H&S standards
  • Ensure QA is kept to a high standard.
  • Work with management team to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Accurately relay contract and design specifications, providing quality technical support
  • Measure, record, report on progress accurately and on time

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in Engineering roles in New Zealand.
  • Experience working on a variety of local projects, solid understanding of NZ standards and best practice.
  • Proven experience delivering CSL Watermain works, or similar relevant deep drainage works.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S and QA.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong relevant software skills (Word, Excel etc)
