About the Role:

In this role you will be supporting the end to end payroll function for Stellar NZ, including monthly internal payroll, weekly contractor payroll, and consultant commissions. You will also be supporting the administration of the payroll data to ensure our processes are correct, the data tables are maintained, and the data reconciles on a rolling YTD basis.


  • Ensure all pay-runs are prepared with accuracy, all backup information is saved, and all required reports are produced and saved
  • Support the preparation and processing of payroll month end, ensuring payroll data reconciles YTD
  • Support preparation and processing payroll creditors such as PAYE, Kiwi Saver, Ministry of Justice, etc
  • Support the Stellar NZ staff and contractor base with payroll related queries as and when they ariseAssist in reconciling and execution of payroll year end within the required timeframes
  • Assist with the Stellar Australia payroll process and compliance matters when required

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven NZ payroll experience in a volume setting
  • Strong organisational skills, a positive mindset, and highly goal driven
  • A broad understanding of all areas of the finance process
  • High level of understanding in the payroll area
  • Experience in providing support and advice to all company staff in relation to improving the payroll function
  • Expertise in calculation and processing of company commission and bonus structure
  • Robust level of taxation, compliance and regulatory competence
