3 month Contract, Arboricultural Technical Officer for South Brisbane based client.

Your new company

Our Client is a Local Government based in South Brisbane. They are looking to engage a Level 4 Arboricultural Technical Officer to undertake expert technical tree assessments whilst overseeing operational programs.

Your new role
In your new role you will partake in consistent tree assessments based around Arboricultural practises whilst also managing customers requests efficiently. Your responsibilities will be consistent with maximising health, safety and aesthetics of the urban tree canopy through the following ways:
- Coordinate tree clean-up works relating to storm events.
- Undertake pest and disease diagnosis for trees and implementing the appropriate actions.
- Participate in maintenance inspections on trees to achieve the best outcomes in new developments
- Manage trees hazards and risks to people, property and assets by implementing
- Manage any conflicts that may arise from consulting with customers regarding the management of trees.
- Ensure substantial contribution to the planning and development of the trees team.
- Partake in ongoing professional development on all technical knowledge.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a range of horticulture/ arboriculture applications such as tree pruning standards, risk reduction pruning, plant healthcare and tree root management will be highly regarded. Additionally, strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred, as well as moderate customer service and negotiation skills. You will be required to obtain an AQF level III Certificate in Arboriculture, a current White Card and a valid driver’s licence.
