Responsible for the operational management of the Company's repair services and overseeing performance in all areas of the business.

  • Responsible for the operational management of The Company's Repair Services, overseeing daily business activities, evaluating performance and production and driving business objectives.
  • Oversee performance in all areas of the business and develop a strong management team capable of achieving budget requirements, whilst ensuring quality and safety is delivered consistently throughout the business.
  • Ensure industry-leading standards are delivered and identify business solutions to contribute to efficiency gains and growth.
  • Develop and manage relationships with all key work providers.
  • Oversee daily operations, scheduling daily production tasks, and reviewing and resolving operational and quality issues to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays
  • Plan and implement repair schedules; manage work allocation and coordinate resources to achieve delivery time frames and update status of jobs in the system
  • Monitor repair estimates to ensure all parts, resources, and consumables are readily available to repair technicians in a cost-efficient and timely manner
  • Recruitment of staff working in collaboration with HR
  • Monitor and provide proactive solutions to issues and risks (e.g., profit decline, employee conflict, loss of business to competitors)
  • Lead Centre Managers to achieve KPIs including improving productivity and revenue, delivering quality on time service, managing workforce performance, and maintaining best practice safety and compliance
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of repair equipment, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Manage the relationship with paint suppliers and coordinate stock, training, product knowledge, safety compliance, and reporting.
  • Manage sublet suppliers including glass, ADAS, transport, including ensuring service is added to each job and sublet’s supply consistent, correct methodology and a high standard of quality service.
  • Manage repair quality assurance processes, ensuring correct repair methods are used according to the manufacturer’s standards.
  • Manage rectifications and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Manage costs and budgets across all facets and sites
  • Analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward strategy and KPIs and work with General Manager to implement required changes.
  • Research and implement new design/technology/service concepts to provide cost reduction, safety, customer satisfaction and market growth
  • Support a sustainable positive workforce environment and culture with a focus on retention and talent development and incentivized reward and recognition
  • Ensure all WHS policies and processes are adhered to achieve a zero-harm outcome and report and follow up on incidents and risks
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace with emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and quality of service provision
  • Lead and mentor team to achieve productivity targets
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals with team
  • Ensure all employees in your team are competent to do their job
  • Ensure induction, job-specific and ongoing training is carried out.
Relevant trade qualifications or similar required to fulfill performance indicators
Proven production and management skills required to fulfill performance indicators
