Our Australian operation, located in Kilcoy, (one hour north-west of Brisbane) is the fourth largest beef producer in Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader who can look after a small team of skilled Tradesperson to ensure sustained and reliable performance of equipment within the business.

This role is Permanent Fulltime, working on a night shift roster 4pm - 4am.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a small team of skilled Tradespersons
Point of escalation and able to problem solve based on priorities
Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach
Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance
Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis
Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed
Maintain a strong focus on safety, health and environment
Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities
Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment
Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving
Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant

ABOUT YOU :
Trade qualifications - Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum
Experience as a Team Leader- Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic role
Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding
Reliable, motivated self-starter
Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions
Able to to lead and Coach a small team
Excellent time management skills and communication skills
The following maintenance experience would be highly regarded:
FMCG or manufacturing environment
Beef slaughter process equipment
Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment
Downstream processing (boning, chilling, packaging, labelling and transfer systems)
