Your new company
Koppers Wood Products is a leading manufacturer of quality treated wood products.

Koppers products include the manufacture and distribution of treated wood poles, engineering and piling timbers and landscaping and viticulture products. Their services include forest assessments and forest management services.

Koppers is a key supplier to the Energy sector.


Your new role
The Sales & Marketing Services role works with all relevant managers to implement sales plans and actions for the Business. Duties include assisting with customer opportunities, tender pricing, tender bids, customer visits, quote preparation, additional sales opportunities, and quality follow up and feedback.

The role also requires the successful applicant to maintain the Customer Management System and will work under the instructions of the Group Sales and Marketing Manager. If successful, you will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of business promotional activities, technical literature creation, updates and other marketing initiatives.


What you'll need to succeed
The mandatory skills required for this role are:

  • Highly effective communication skills both verbal and written. You must have the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders including all staff, customers at all levels from finance to engineers to managers and suppliers.
  • Degree qualifications in business or similar, minimum 5 years working experience in a sales, marketing or business development role and/or timber industry/preservation industry experience.
  • Advanced level computer skills
  • High in report writing and data interpretation
  • Understanding of quality management systems
  • Understanding of SHEMS (Safety, Health, Environment Management Systems) policies and procedures
  • Understanding and commitment to Zero Harm, Zero Waste principles
  • Ability to work unsupervised and good time management skills
  • Excel - intermediate, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
