The Opportunity:
As the State Manager - Liquid, Hazardous, and Total Waste Management (TWM) you’ll play a critical role in growing our waste business across Queensland.

Based in Rocklea, you will work in a driven and collaborative team, you’ll provide direction to the local site managers and supervisors in the region and ensure that operations across the region are efficient, cost-effective and profitable whilst also ensuring that we are safe, legally, environmentally and ethically responsible.

This role is an integral part of the QLD waste business and provides an opportunity to develop Veolia's impact and influence across the regions. You will oversee the overall business strategy, performance, and acquisitions within the region alongside the State Manager Waste QLD & NT.

In this role, you will work with operations teams across Regional QLD in areas like Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Darling Downs, and the Surat Basin. You will be required to travel to these sites occasionally.

This is an exciting opportunity as our new CEO (promoted from within the business) plans to implement an ambitious growth strategy for our ANZ region.

You’ll need:
Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or equivalent and significant operations experience
Demonstrated experience managing within a heavy industry or manufacturing operational environment
A high level of commercial acumen and the ability to analyse and interpret financial information
Demonstrated success in driving and implementing business strategy and operational efficiencies
Extensive experience and demonstrated success in people management
The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while driving results
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including ability to clarify, resolve issues, make decisions and mentor team members
To be able to build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
