The Manager Intermediate Projects (MIP) is responsible for the management, performance and completion of multiple program tasks. The MIP ensures that projects are within budget and schedule whilst maintaining direct contact with the customer. The role will cover programs all across Australia.

Role Requirements:
Serve as the secondary contact with the customer, functioning as the Project Manager, as delegated by the Program Manager. Acts as the Company to the Customer for on-going contracts under his or her management.

Leads project execution to meet technical performance within cost and schedule.

Manages, oversees, monitors and approves all elements of the assigned project activities from inception to completion including proposal development, product design, procurement, subcontracting, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and acceptance of the products IAW extant program management SOPs.

Plans and directs integrations of a cross-functional project team that represents various organisations within the company.

Effectively manages a project within a program management organisation.

Performs financial management to ensure that profit is earned and cash collected.

Actively performs risk management and pursues risk reduction on assigned projects.

Identifies project issues with sufficient lead time for timely resolution.

Develops proposals for new business.

Coordinates proposal development, statements of work, specification development and subcontract management.

Providing input and offering recommendations for the improvement of Company processes and standard procedures.

This position will be required to deploy to the field in support of project test events or where capacity exists as a technical SME for other project teams.

About You:
You will have tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in technical/engineering related discipline. You will have a minimum of 3+ years of related technical or engineering experience including project management experience. The sucessful candidate will have:

Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams.

Knowledge of government procurement, contracting, and standards and specifications.

Project Management certification is highly desirable.

Condition of Employment:
Successful outcome of a National Police Check

Proof of Australian citizenship

Ability to obtain and retain and Australian Defence security clearance
