Primary Objective of the position:

  • Perform on site labouring and driving tasks for Maintenance / Construction activities ensuring maximum productivity with a high standard of workmanship and job safety.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Secondary education to Year 10 with good writing and communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics.
  • Current Queensland LR Driver’s Licence.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in driving trucks relevant to this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform daily routine servicing and safety checks of vehicle and trailer with prompt notification to plant inspectors / workshop of any defects.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a range of maintenance / construction labouring tasks related to Cairns Works.
  • An understanding of and commitment to Workplace health and Safety, environmental responsibility, quality assurance, equal employment opportunities and open communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision in a small team environment.
