The Team Leader Plant Maintenance oversees coordinated repair, service and maintenance of Council's plant and equipment to such a standard that it is available as much as possible for use and to ensure that the cost benefit of the plant and equipment is optimised and the value of the asset is retained.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who has comprehensive knowledge and experience in the area of fleet/project management principles, including utilisation management, whole of life management and vehicle and plant maintenance. They will thrive in a team environment and will have the skills and experience to lead and mentor others.

Key activities of this role include:
  • Supervise and monitor service levels and productivity of the Plant Maintenance staff engaged in delivery of fleet maintenance functions;
  • Control the quality, performance and continuous improvement of the Plant Maintenance team with respect to KPI’s, audit and lifecycle analysis;
  • Investigate, review and make recommendations to implement or amend systems or processes aimed to improve fleet environmental performance, operational efficiency or safety.

This role provides a salary range of between $76.2k to $91.5k per annum + superannuation.

A vehicle may be provided for official duties and private use leaseback in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy, (subject to availability). Alternately a vehicle allowance of $165 per week is also an available option.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.
