About the roleThis position has overall management of the mechanical/fabrication, and oversight of mechanical/fabrication Technicians and Store persons. Responsible for the control of all work schedules and movement of all accepted live work projects and workshop projects in the mechanical/fabrication workshop. Ensures all mechanical/fabrication equipment, resources and instruments are maintained to meet the Training needs of Lecturers and students.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in Mechanical Fitting, Fitter Machining and/or Fabrication Trade with experience in diagnosis and repair of machines used within one of these trade areas. The successful applicant will also have good communication skills, supervisory skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
