About the role
We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Brisbane based team in a fixed term positon until December 2022. In this varied and interesting role you will work within the Capability Enhancements team on the MRH Taipan and ARH Tiger Platforms, you will be responsible for the effective management of projects to meet and exceed customer requirements, delivering on time with a focus on quality.
Reporting to the Manager Capability Enhancements, you would use the Airbus Project Management Framework to support the delivery of assigned Program projects. Your duties would include:

* Developing and supporting offers related to future capability enhancements to ensure a strong end to end project adherence and mitigate risks
* Liaising with cross-functional organisational teams and external suppliers and stakeholders in order to maintain project progress
* Identify, monitor and manage any risks, opportunities and evolving priorities
* Acting as a key interface between the Program and the Airbus internal functional service providers, building positive and effective working relationships
* Collaborating with and coordinating resources, using your influence to achieve outcomes
* Achieving the quality, schedule, and profitability obligations of each project
* Leading the cross-functional project team to achieve the desired project outcomes

About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to drive project outcomes, work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role include:

* Degree in Engineering or Business
* Diploma (or higher) in Project Management
* Experience in leading people in cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results and goals
* Knowledge and experience within defence or aviation projects
* An understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations
* Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build long-lasting, collaborative relationships with peers and interdependent functions and business lines; and manage conflicting priorities in a matrix organisation
