Pestaway is a local Cairns business encompassing all minor and major commercial and residential pest control management. The business has been established for over 25 years and employs a team of experienced and qualified technicians.

 A position is available for an experienced accounts and administration officer who has strong communication skills, ability to quickly learn new systems and keen to ‘hit the ground running’.

Daily duties include but are not limited to.

  • General book-keeping including accounts payable/receivable, payroll preparation, superannuation processing, reconciliations.
  • Utilise job management programs and customer relations software.
  • Maintain industry standards, legislation, and insurances.
  • Liaise with staff, customers and suppliers via email and phone.
  • Job scheduling for pest control services.
  • Ability to review field notes to prepare customer invoicing.
  • Stock take and monthly check lists.
  • Order of equipment and stock as required for both office and field technicians.
  • General administration as required.
  • Filing.

To be successful in the role you will need the following attributes.

  • Experience with MYOB accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new systems and problem solve.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a small team environment.

This is a full-time position, Salary is competitive, negotiable, and dependent upon experience.

The applicant must be able to work between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. 40hrs per week.
