Work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager of Surgical Ward 2A encompassing DSU2A and the 23-hour unit to foster clinical governance, operational leadership, standards of practice and a positive culture that promotes lifelong learning, workforce development and research to achieve best practice consumer/person outcomes.

    About The Role
    • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 2 and the Queensland Health and Metro North HHS commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
    • Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing/midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
    • Apply advanced clinical nursing/midwifery expertise, critical thinking and clinical leadership in the coordination or delivery of high standard of consumer/person centred care.
    • Respond appropriately to, and provide support and direction to manage, sudden alterations in the health status
