About This Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Learning Designer to design curriculum, assessment, active and flexible pedagogies, and work-integrated learning to enhance teaching quality in courses and coursework programs, and support and enable academic staff across the University to do the same.

This position is primarily located at our picturesque St Lucia campus. As the Faculty is across a diverse range of campuses and sites across Brisbane, you may also have the opportunity to work at UQ Herston campus or Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE).

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful for this position, you will have completed a degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience (preferably in an education/ learning design field or similar); or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You will have expertise and experience in developing online and on-campus resources informed by an understanding of how higher education students learn and a commitment to ongoing professional development and scholarly approach to the duties.

You will have the ability to provide leadership and practical support on both traditional and technology-enabled approaches to curriculum, pedagogy and assessment to a variety of stakeholders. You will also have demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and maintain attention to detail partnered with demonstrated ability to design and deliver professional learning in the development of learning assets using appropriate technologies for learning and teaching purposes.

What We Can Offer

There is 1 x full-time, fixed term position for 2 years and 3 x full-time, fixed term positions until 31/12/2021 at HEW Level 7.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,763 - $96,783, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $103,852 - $113,236.
