Your new company

This role is with a community focused Not-For Profit that is growing rapidly due to increased demands in Northern Queensland. This growth has resulted in a permanent role for an organised and experience Quality, Training & WHS officer to join the Townsville office on a Permanent basis.

Your new role

This is a diverse role that will see you focusing on multiple areas across Quality, Training & WHS

You're duties will develop as you settle in to the role but could include:

  • Create and Maintain the General Induction (Safety, Corporate and Quality and Safeguarding);
  • Develop and maintain the Workplace Health and Safety Management Plan (WHSMP);
  • Review and audit all policies, processes and procedures – to meet legal requirements;
  • Conduct internal audits and investigations required to maintain compliance;
  • Undertake the role of Workplace Health and Safety Officer (WHSO);
  • Maintain the Incident Register and assist in the Incident Investigation Processes;
  • Maintain the Document Management System and Quality check all documents for compliance;
  • Create the monthly Health, Safety, Quality and Training Reports for Managers and Board;
  • Create, deliver and record Safety and other relevant training activities for Staff;
  • Maintain compliance by maintaining the Training Register, Training Files and Complaints;
  • Act as the Return to Work Coordinator and create and maintain plans and correspondence with Workcover Queensland.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within a similar role would be essential to be able to hit the ground running. Ideally you will have relevant certifications/qualifications in Training, WHS & Training and be able to manage your time across these key areas within a busy organisation.

A positive and proactive approach to working with managers and employees at all levels will be what defines your working style and you will also have a strong aptitude for systems and processes.
