Global Change Institute sponsored - Digital Health Research Network

UQ’s Global Change Institute (GCI) sponsors the digital health network, underpinned by capabilities across a range of UQ disciplines, alongside external stakeholders. The aim of this network is to create the much-needed framework for digital records to be recorded and shared across the entire healthcare spectrum, in real-time. This capability will allow for a healthcare transformation towards a digitally enabled learning healthcare system, improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare. With the involvement from more than 30 researchers and clinician-researchers from across UQ, the network is providing unique capability across health data information and utilisation, digital health education, policy, health behavioural sciences, health systems improvement and virtual, remote and technology enabled health at UQ.

About the opportunity

The Network Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of the digital health research network. The successful applicant will be required to coordinate network activities along with the Global Change Institute Innovation Broker, ensure effective communication with key stakeholders and development of funding applications for research programs within the network.

This position is located at is located at the PA Hospital campus in Woolloongabba, South Brisbane and reports to the Associate Professor, Digital Informatics Lead, Centre for Health Services Research.

Our ideal candidate

Applicants should possess qualifications in a field relevant the health profession, preferably epidemiology, public health, psychology statistics or similar with at least four years subsequent relevant experience, including a minimum of two years’ experience in the management or coordination of research projects.

Additionally, you will possess:
Demonstrated well developed to high level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate, and establish effective relationships with a diverse range of clients at all levels, including but not limited to researchers, clinicians, and regulatory and professional bodies.
Demonstrated ability in managing and participating as a team member in team-based projects.
Demonstrated high level ability to manage complex projects including planning and delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes and budget.
Proven ability to develop and implement policy, new systems and to maintain a process of continuous improvement.

It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.

What we can offer

This is six months part-time fixed term position (0.8 FTE) at HEW level 7.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,763.14 - $96.783.71 per annum plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $103,852.88 - $113,236.94 per annum.
