Residential Manager / Facility Manager for our Aged Care home in Murgon | Not for Profit salary packaging available | Lead a great team.

Southern Cross Care (Qld) Ltd are currently recruiting a full time Residential Manager to lead our 61 bed place Castra Residential Aged Care facility in Murgon through optimised strategic, financial and operational management and strong leadership skills.

A clinical background and current RN AHPRA registration is essential.

Murgon offers a tree-change due to its location in the South Burnett Region of South East Queensland; just a 2 – 3 hour drive from major coastal centres and Brisbane and approximately 1 hour drive west from Gympie QLD.

So if you prefer country life over city, but still like to be able to get to the coast or Brisbane for the weekend, this could be the ideal spot to call home.

As the leader of the facility you will be accountable for:
  • Ensuring adherence to Australian Aged Care Standards, accreditation processes and legislative requirements
  • People and resource management position - driving efficient and effective management of HR and financial management aligned to the business’ strategic plan and budget
  • Providing direction and expert clinical advice, as well as leading and mentoring both clinical and non clinical staff
  • Delivery of a high standard of care and lifestyle to residents
  • Continuous improvement, navigating change and guiding others through the change process
Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of operational performance within Aged Care, relishes the accountability of this type of role and empowers others to be accountable for their remit, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong stakeholder management and sound commercial acumen.
