Regis Caboolture

Regis Caboolture aged care home is situated in a quiet residential precinct next to Caboolture Public Hospital and the neighbourhood shopping centre. Our aged care home features a beautiful central garden courtyard with a walking track and bus stop for residents to utilise. It is close to the child care centre, local schools, Caboolture Air Museum and the Caboolture Historical Village

About The Role

Th is role is 100% hands on in all aspects of running the kitchen. As the Chef Manager, you will have the responsibility of overseeing traditional compliance activities including food safety, OHS, and quality.

This is a full time position, working 10 shifts per fortnight;

Monday to Thursday – 0900-1730 – Friday 0600-1500 paper day, Sat/Sun off

Monday to Thursday– 0900-1730 – Fri /Sat off

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full oversight of kitchen compliance including food safety, WHS and quality
  • Leading and motivating the kitchen team
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Resident dietary management
  • Kitchen and food cost management
  • Production and delivery of high quality meals
  • Service excellence around all aspects of the dining experience
  • Strong front of house presence including communication with residents and families
  • Provide management and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth operation

& Experience
  • Staff management experience
  • Chef Qualifications and experience and understanding of special dietary needs
  • Experience within Aged Care would be advantageous
  • Experience working within set budgets
  • Time management and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a broader catering team to continually improve the catering experience in our facilities
To be eligible to join the team at Regis we require the following:
  • Consistent with State and Territory public health orders and with Regis’ mandatory vaccination policy, all candidates must produce evidence that they have received the current (i.e. 2021) seasonal influenza vaccination or medical evidence to Regis’ satisfaction of an accepted clinical contraindication to receiving the influenza vaccination
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
  • Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
