The Role:

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and confident individual to join our Brisbane team in the role of Junior Project Coordinator.

The focus of this office-based role will be to run claims and coordinate and manage trades during the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events. You will provide regular updates to customers and ensure a high level of service is always provided.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Engage, coordinate & manage trades.
  • Communicate & negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
  • Liaise between insured parties & insurance companies
  • Coordinate access to properties with insured parties
  • Dispute / issue resolution as required
  • Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OHS requirements
  • Ensure all relevant inspections, certificates & documentation is signed off
  • Work closely with Estimators & On-Site Supervisors
  • Assist in organising contracts, processing quotes & updating variations
  • Cost reporting
  • Support & assist the administration team when required

The following selection criteria is also important, but we are happy to teach and mentor you along the way.
  • Construction Qualification or Building Trade Background ideal, however not essential
  • Prior experience in the Construction or Insurance industry, highly regarded
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, including a professional phone manner
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Highly computer literate including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Can-do & positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn & start from the ground up in a fast-moving organisation & team
  • Valid Australian driver licence
