Full Job Description
St John's College is a Catholic secondary learning community established by the Good Samaritan Sisters in 1940. St. John’s is well known for excellence in Academic pursuits, Dramatic and Musical presentations, sporting success in rugby, netball, cross country and athletics, and community service programs. Some unique features of the school are its pastoral care program, inclusiveness of students with disabilities, staff - student relationships, energetic Parents & Friends Association and community links.

We are seeking an Assistant to the Business Manager to provide high level advice and support to the College Business Manager in meeting the College's broad business, financial and administrative obligations. An understanding or previous experience in a senior BCE school-based finance role would be advantageous.

  • Accounts Payable
  • Asset Maintenance
  • Accounting and Reporting

The role is full time for Semester 2 and reports to the Principal via the Business Manager.

be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Estimated Start Date: Commencing 28 June 2021

Position Tenure: Fixed Term

Weeks Worked: Up to 52 weeks per year including school holidays

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term): Semester 2, 2021

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 38 hours per week - 7.6 hours per day Mon - Fri

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 6 - $37.19 per hour

Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
