WIS currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Compliance Officer to join our energetic, high volume, fast paced Payroll team located in Carole Park. This role will support WIS business unit payroll officers with overflow duties in the monthly payruns and peak BU activities

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create, implement and maintain preventative controls to reduce payroll errors
  • Collate all data sources for Pay Compliance reporting and dashboard in Power BI
  • Reconcile and consolidate month end including third party deductions
  • Review audit reports and transactions daily and rectify any discrepancies with Finance and Payroll Manager as directed
  • Continual improvement and standardisation of payroll operations, payroll systems and payroll procedures to streamline processes
  • Assist in the preparation of end of month & end of year reconciliations

What you will need to succeed:

  • Working knowledge of Ascender, PeopleSoft payroll systems
  • Substantial experience in the preparation & administration of medium to large payrolls
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office 2013 skills
  • Consistently meet deadlines in a high pressure fast paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an exception level of customer service.
  • Proven ability to build, manage and maintain relationships with internal stakeholder.
