Take the lead role within the company to manage the execution of FlSmidth Pty Ltd IOD projects including facilitating and coordinating all activities of the contract required for completing the order and fulfilling all FLSmidth Pty Ltd contractual obligations

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that contracts are executed to meet or improve budget, delivery and quality requirements.
  • Proactively evaluate project budgets and take action to minimize costs
  • Resolve contract problems or potential problems on a pro-active basis.
  • Review contract terms regarding invoicing and liabilities and any special or unusual commercial terms.
  • Implement risk mitigations plans to avoid back charges and warranty claims and generally reduce FLSmidth's contractual risks.
  • Work closely with and expedite the engineering and procurement departments to assure that drawings and purchase requirements are released on schedule.
  • Work closely with the factory and the planners within the factory to assure that the DIFOT (delivery in full and on time) is met.
  • Advise superiors of contract developments as they relate to schedule and cost, including potential warranty or back charges.
  • Maintain complete and orderly contract files.
  • This position requires a person who can cope with a high level of responsibility while having no authority over the contract team that will execute the work.
What You Bring
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract execution
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience working with commercial terms and conditions, negotiations
  • Working knowledge of FLS product lines preferred
