Job Description

St Vincent's Care Services is currently recruiting for a State Quality & Compliance Manager (QLD) is to lead, monitor, advise and facilitate organisational governance compliance and quality improvement activities across our homes in Queensland.The role requires an innovative approach to maintain 100% compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.

The successful candidate will exercise a high level of stakeholder engagement to work across each facility to monitor and improve education and capability frameworks. This is primarily a hands-on role, which encompasses an

analytical, theoretical and practical approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps in compliance and respond by designing and implementing a program of work to rectify to meet the Standards, in collaboration with the RACF.
  • Provide excellent quality support, mentor and guidance to facilities, ensuring standards are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure the standard operating model for quality is consistently implemented at each facility.
  • Identify areas of improvement in quality/compliance and implement strategies to address including monitoring implementation with Plans for Continuous Improvement.
  • Within the mission and values of St Vincent’s Health Australia, ensure commitment to the provision of innovative, flexible and responsible service within a strong quality framework.
  • Attend and support facility accreditation visits and contribute to responses and communications with the Commission.
  • Provide feedback regarding issues with systems to the centralised clinical governance team.
  • Ensure facility compliance in mandatory quality indicators, auditing, reporting and reviewing of clinical incidents and provide reports to Facility Managers and the State Manager.
  • Identify trends and potential risks in the homes
  • Participate in nominated working groups/committees (internal and external).
  • Provide data analysis and reports as defined and requested by the State Manager and the Head of Clinical Governance.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Previous experience working in a Quality/Clinical Education position in Aged Care
  • Good understanding of the new Aged Care Standards
  • Evidence of Flu Vaccination (& ongoing annually)
  • Satisfactory Police Check valid within 6 months, or the ability to provide one prior to commencement if successful.
  • Ability to travel between facilities in QLD as required.
